Outreach Service 01707 373743 (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) for women in the Welwyn Hatfield district who are living with domestic abuse.

Welwyn Hatfield Women’s Refuge seeks to work towards an end to violence and abuse of women and children.

All women survivors’ in our service are provided with a female practitioner, main key worker for support work. Best efforts are made to secure female practitioners for women when referred to external services. From time to time male subcontractors are on site and an accompanying policy is in place.

Leaving a psychologically abusive relationship will never follow the normal path of a breakup.

It takes longer to heal because it involves completely rebuilding self-worth, restoring normal adrenaline levels and finding a new inner strength. All that takes time.
